The Heat Module of a Heat Overlay performs complex calculations and can generate multiple types of results per timeframe. A timeframe in the Heat Overlay correspond to a date and time for which a result will be calculated. This date and time will be relative to the project's time zone.

Result types can differ in the kind of data they display, the layer (surface or underground) of which they display that information, and how that data is recorded. Different result types can monitor data in the following ways:

  • Start: The data is determined at the start of the simulation, and does not change afterwards.
  • Date: The data is dependent on the timestep, which corresponds to a date and time. In case the Average timeframe option is selected, the last timeframe will present the average values of all previous timesteps for that particular Result Type.
