This functionality can be used to resolve some instances where an irregular bottom of [[terrain water (Water Overlay)|waterways]] would inhibit the proper flow of water. Because in slow-moving models there is little difference to to deep or shallow water if the amount of water flowing to adjacent cells is minimal, setting this attribute to a sufficiently low value can allow water to flow uninhibited by artifacts in the height of the waterway's bottom.

This functionality can be used to resolve some instances where an irregular bottom of waterways would inhibit the proper flow of water. Because in slow-moving models there is little difference to to deep or shallow water if the amount of water flowing to adjacent cells is minimal, setting this attribute to a sufficiently low value can allow water to flow uninhibited by artifacts in the height of the waterway's bottom.
