In situations where the calculation grid size is larger than the elevation model's accuracy, the values for the elevation model are averaged per grid cell to compute a matching elevation model. This setting computes multiple averages, and the highest value to be used if the grid cell is land, and the lowest value to be used if the grid cell is water. This allows smaller waterways to be preserved better when the interpreted elevation model for the Water Overlay's calculations is less accurate (in other words, has a larger grid cell size).

Notes

  • A value <=0 means this option is not selected and inactive.
  • A value >0 means this option is selected and active.
