|Hover over [[Overlay]]s and under Environmental, select [[Shadow Overlay]].
|With the Shadow Overlay selected, click on the Configuration Wizard button to open the Shadow Wizard.
|In the Shadow Wizard, continue to the Date Selection step.
|In the Data Selection step, select a start and optional end date and select which hours of the day should be calculated.

|In the Hour of Day step, inspect the chosen dates and hours of day and continue.
|In the Surface Height step, select the Digital Surface Model option and click next.
|In the Foliage Step, select the option based on Functions and click next.

Shadows can be calculated by either the Shadow Overlay or the Heat Overlay. In case only Shadows are of importance, follow this how-to to add and setup a Shadow Overlay. More configuration options are provided at the end.

How to calculate Shadows:
  1. Select Current Situation in the ribbon bar
  2. Hover over Overlays and under Environmental, select Shadow Overlay.
  3. With the Shadow Overlay selected, click on the Configuration Wizard button to open the Shadow Wizard.
  4. In the Shadow Wizard, continue to the Date Selection step.
  5. In the Data Selection step, select a start and optional end date and select which hours of the day should be calculated.
  6. Click next to confirm
  7. In the Hour of Day step, inspect the chosen dates and hours of day and continue.
  8. In the Surface Height step, select the Digital Surface Model option and click next.
  9. In the Foliage Step, select the option based on Functions and click next.
  10. In the Continue to the Output Overlays Step and finish the wizard.
