Template panel that can be applied on Areas. This excel calculates and creates a line chart of Grid Averages within a specific Area per timeframe for a Grid Overlay. The Grid Overlay is identified by specifying the Attribute AREA_MEASUREMENT with a value 1.

A Panel instance of this Template Excel showing the calculated average values within an area of a Surface Value result of a Water Overlay simulation.
How to import and configure the Grid Overlay Area Measurement panel:
  1. Add a new Template Excel Panel by hovering over Panels in Current Situation in the Editor.
  2. Click on the Select Excelsheet button for this Panel.
  3. Click on the 'Add Geoshare File' link
  4. Select Public share and browse to the Panels folder and select this file.
  5. Select the imported Excel Sheet for this Panel.
  6. Set the Update timing to AFTER
  7. Select the Template tab in the details of this Panel and specify on what Areas it should be applied. Optionally with specific Attribute.
  8. Click on the Apply Template button to create the Panel instances.
  9. Select Overlays in the ribbon bar and select the Grid Overlay that should be measured.
  10. Select the Attributes tab of this overlay and add a new Attribute named AREA_MEASUREMENT with a value 1.
  11. Hover over the Calculation Cloud option in the Ribbon bar and select Reset Excel X-Queries to calculate the Templated Excel Panels.

Notes

  • Panel should be templated on Areas, since the used TQL statements contain explicit Area clauses. These can be adjusted to other types such as Terrains or Buildings by manually editing the queries in the Excel.
  • Currently up to 365 Overlay timeframes are supported. More timeframes can be easily supported by editing the Excel.
  • Uses the Plotly library to generate the Line Chart.
