This target is adjustable.
In a project it is possible to add custom types of wind turbines to the Platform, with different attributes such as height, radius of the noise contour or safety contour and power and create  scenarios to find the most suitable placement, dependent on the requirements for a use case.

Explore performing actions and future scenario's

Solar functions

  1. Click on the Future Design tab and click in the Action menu menu on the Solar farm icon.
  2. Choose the Solar panels (South) Function and notice a grid appears in the 3D world. Select an area for this function by holding down the left mouse button.
  3. Click on the Build button and then Confirm and notice the Solar panels are constructed.
  4. Close the Solar farm menu and open the Solar area Indicator. Notice the indicator has recalculated and updated to show that the amount of solar panels on land has increased.
  5. Zoom to the water body and open again the Solar farm Action menu. Repeat the previous steps to build solar panels on water and notice the indicator changes accordingly.
  6. Navigate to the solar farm in the field (indicated by a yellow arrow). Click on the solar area indicator to see the hectares solar field on land and water in the project area.
  7. Zoom to the buildings in the project area and click in the Action menu menu on the Solar Upgrades icon.
  8. Select the Solar panels on roofs Function and select the buildings to upgrade with solar panels. Click on Upgrade and notice the buildings now have solar panels.

Wind functions

  1. Navigate to the agricultural area and click in the Action menu menu on the wind turbines icon.
  2. Choose the windmill Function and select the location for it. Click again on Build and Confirm and close the wind turbines menu.
  3. Click on the Noise contour Overlay in the Overlay bar and notice that a new contour is added. This contour has a smaller radius than the contour of the large wind turbine. Click on the Noise contour Indicator in the Top bar to see how many houses are in both of these contours and may experience noise disturbance.

Navigate to the wind turbine and notice its shadow is visible. With the Tygron Platform it is possible to see how the shadow changes throughout the day and or year, which is important for finding a suitable location of a wind turbine. Click on the Tools tab and click on the Sun angle button. Change the date and time to see the shadow moving.

  1. Click on the wind turbines Indicator in the Top bar to see this indicator has also been updated and that the fictional target of 5 MW for this demo is almost achieved. how much power is generated. For more information about this indicator, see the description. Notice that a score is calculated, based on the generated power and a target. The target is set on 5 MW. This target is adjustable.

In a project it is possible to add custom types of wind turbines to the Platform, with different attributes such as height, radius of the noise contour or safety contour and power and create scenarios to find the most suitable placement, dependent on the requirements for a use case.
