A Rain area is a feature which can override the Weather's rain with a different array of values. This allows users to simulate rain clouds moving over the project area.

Notes

  • A maximum of 10.000 values (5.000 pairs) can be defined per rain area.
  • Up to 100 rain areas per Water Overlay are supported.
  • It's not required to fill the entire 3D world with Rain areas to use the Rain area functionality. For locations without a Rain area, the Weather's rain m is applied.
  • The configured Weather dictates the simulated time and optional starting date. If the rain sequence of the Rain area is defined beyond the duration of the Weather time sequence, the excess of the Rain area time sequence is ignored. If the Rain area's time sequence ends before the Weather's time sequence, the remainder of the time sequence of the Rain area is considered to be 0;
