Example of the Aerius Overlay NOX result type

The RIVM Aerius calculation tool can calculate the impact of traffic, industry and construction on NOX and NH3 pollution on Natura 2000 areas in the Netherlands. The Aerius module behind the Aerius Overlay supports the connection between the Tygron Platform and the Aerius calculation tool. The Aerius calculation tool can estimate emissions for various sectors, but only the sectors traffic, construction machines, plan and direct emissions are supported by the Tygron Platform.

Usage

The Aerius overlay results can be use to:

  • Calculate individual emissions for road sections, construction machines, construction materials and constructed buildings.
  • Calculate NOX and NH3 pollution on Natura 2000 areas as 60 meter sided hexagons.

Supported Sectors

Currently supported sectors are:

  • Traffic (Wegverkeer):
    • Sector 3113: local roads (lokale wegen)
    • Sector 3112: rural roads (buiten wegen)
    • Sector 3111: highways (snelwegen)
  • Mobile machines (Mobiele werktuigen):
    • Sector 3220: Construction and industrial machines
  • Plan (Plan):
    • Sector 9000: used construction materials and constructed type of buildings.
  • Work and living (Werk en wonen) emissions:
    • 8640: Work
    • 8200: Living
    • 8210: Recreation

The Aerius overlay can provide the following result types:
